Hi all,

Your daughter has been entered in the Wakatipu Basin Inter School Girls Cricket Festival at the Events Centre next Thursday.

We have entered teams in this tournament for the past few years and all the girls have loved it. They don’t have to be good at cricket as its played with soft balls and plastic bats and kiwi cricket rules apply where every player gets a turn at batting and bowling in each game. It is a great opportunity to play in an all girl’s competition and get a good go without being dominated by the boys!!

We will be taking a bus from school leaving at 9.00am and back by 3.00pm.

They will need lots of lunch and snacks , sunhats and sunscreen, warm clothing, plenty to drink and appropriate clothing in to be active in.

The cost is $5 for entry fee and $4 for the bus – total - $9.00

Cricket Registrations

The cricket season is almost upon us, and the Queenstown Cricket Club is now commencing with registration of players for all grades, from Year 1 to adult. For those pupils who have just started school, or are new to the area and wish to play cricket, please contact our Manager, maurice.fordham@xtra or phone 03 441 3400 for additional information.

Registered players from last season will be forwarded a registration form automatically."

Registrations should be in by 23 Sept.

Hi all,

We are all set to go on Wednesday. I have had to adjust some of the teams as we have had a couple of kids pull out.

Transport:

Mary – Ellen McDonald (4), Nick Hart(6), Nathalie Wilson(4), Paul Winders(6) Kate Evans (4)

Jackie Leat (4) have all volunteered to take kids - thank you very much. We need one more vehicle for 4 kids so if you can help please contact me.

We are meeting outside the hall at 12.30pm. The kids can have their lunch on the way. I will give out sports uniforms on the day but they will need appropriate suncare gear, a drink bottle and snacks.

The tournament is scheduled to go to 3.00pm so we won’t be back to school until 3.30pm.

Please make arrangements for kids getting home when they get dropped back to Arrowtown school. Kids can use the school phone if they need to.

Please email me paulw@arrowtown.school.nz to give your kids permission to go if you haven’t already done so.
