Bring a Bike day

On Wednesday 17 November 352 children brought bikes to school! All children participated in a cycle skills session that was run by our local police education team - Beth Fookes and Zoe Albon. Support also came from QLDC as part of the travel plan initiatives with Kirsty Barr driving these initiatives. A big thanks to all the parents who helped run activities on the day - we couldn't have done it without you!

School Swimming 2010

School swimming starts in week nine of this term, and continues through until the end of term 4. All swimming is at Aqualand pool using their instructors. Use the swimming timetable link to see your child/rens class sessions. We are block booking classes this year to give children six lessons in a row for maximum benefit.
All swimming times will be the same this year, leaving school at 12.30pm, travelling by bus, and being ready for lessons at 1.00pm. lessons will be divided into a rotation, depending on ages, and will finish at 2.15pm. Children will change and be on the bus at 2.30pm to be back at school by 2.50pm. The break down of costs is... $4.50 per lesson, $3.00 per return bus trip, total = $45.
We will need parent help for swimming again this year, more so with the juniors and getting them changed on time. if you can help please contact Paul.

Training for Central

Our team today visited Tuckers Beach for a training run, this is where the race will be held on Wednesday. We have also run around Lake Hayes, Sawpit Gully and the loop track in Arrowtown.
Up there?

Yip!!!

Trial Run

Central Otago Cross Country

The cross-country champs are on this week. As defending champs we've been training hard to go for gold again. This year the champs will be at Tuckers Beach due to 12 Mile getting a do up. Please visit the news and notices section of the school website to see the timetable for the day, or email Mr Winders.

Teachers Skiing

Our teachers certainly enjoy the chance to work with the kids in a different location.

Free the Heel, Free the Mind!

Telemark skiing has made its debut with the school programme. We hope this grows as it is an exciting extension to traditional skiing.

School Skiing

We have just had our 3rd day of skiing and everyone knows how it all works. The complete beginners are now beginning to venture up lifts! Many children are learning new runs and developing their ski technique. All children are having a 1hr lesson each day and it is great to watch the progress that many kids make!

Boys having fun!

Remarkable!
