NZ PGA Pro-Am, Volunteers Needed

The NZ PGA Pro-Am Championship takes place at The Hills, Private golf course near Arrowtown on the weekend of March 29 to April 1 2012.  School families are invited to get involved – either by attending, volunteering or even caddying for those who want to get close to the action.

If you are interested in volunteering please email www.volunteernet.org.nz or caddying (need to have a good knowledge of the game) nzpgacaddy@hotmail.com.
Or simply get along and soak up the atmosphere – a Season Pass for 4 days costs $55, daily passes are $20.  You can prebook at www.ticketek.co.nz or buy at the gate.

There will be food and drinks, retail stores and kids’ activities (bouncy castles and SNAG – starting new at golf – games for those wanting to have a go with a club and ball) in the area known as the 19th where everyone of all ages can enjoy the atmosphere of the tournament.

There’s plenty of parking ($10 per car) or take a bus.  An hourly service will run from the Station Building in Queenstown which also picks up at the Frankton Bus Shelter at a cost of $6 each way. There’s also a service from Arrowtown’s Ramshaw Lane every 20 minutes – cost $3 each way.
